History Hopferwieser Installations GmbH
In 1870 the company Hopferwieser was founded by two brothers, called Josef and Stefan Hopferwieser. Josef Hopferwieser has done pioneer work on water-line equipment. Even at that time the company Hopferwieser carried out tasks in the crown lands of the monarchy and abroad.
After the war the destroyed business was reestablished by a great-grandchild of the company founder. Beside the water-line equipment the business Hopferwieser fixed on heating and ventilation systems.
By prudence and foresight the Gebetsroither brothers were able to remove the firm into one of the leading building services companies in the country.
In 1985 the company Hopferwieser was sold to Mr Anton Dorfbauer, the current owner.
History Steinmayr Installations GmbH
In 1953 the company Ing. Lehrner & Steinmayr OHG, Linz, was established by Mr Viktor Lehrner and Mr Johann Steinmayr. At the beginning the company was mostly active in Linz area, later the company carried out heating systems and sanitary facilities Austria-wide. In the meantime the company had about 50 employees.
In 1956 the company opened a branch in Wienerstraße, Amstetten. In 1960 Mr Hanns Steinmayr (son) took over the management of the company.
After the death of Mr Hanns Steinmayr, Mr Peter Steinmayr became the manager of the company. At the same time a change of the company name has taken place. Steinmayr Installations GmbH had at that time about 25 employees.
After finishing the construction of the new company building in 1996 Steinmayr Installtions GmbH moved to Amstetten/Mauer.
In 1999 the companies Hopferwieser Installation and Steinmayr Installation were fused and the company has been setteld in Arthur Krupp Str. 10, Amstetten.
History Hopferwieser+Steinmayr Installations GmbH
Hopferwieser+Steinmayr Installations GmbH is a company based on years of experience in Heating- Ventilation- Air Conditioning and Sanitary facilities and also high quality.
The company is the result of the merging of two installers – Hopferwieser Installations GmbH and Steinmayr Installations GmbH – in 1999. For already some time Hopferwieser+Steinmayr Installations GmbH carries out projects in Switzerland. At the beginning of this year the management decided to set up a subsidiary in Herisau, Switzerland, to be more present on the Swiss market. With about 70 employees the company was able to achieve sales about more than 12 million EUR per year.
The Group of companies Hopferwieser further includes the AME Holding GmbH, which is responsible for the settlement of eastern European branches.
